I am a truck driver and not too long ago a man accused me of running over his dog,I did not even so it did convince me of trying a dash cam.I bought this one particular because of cost to attempt as a trial.To my surprise it does a lot a great deal more than I imagined.I stuck it on my windshield up in the high middle and plugged it in to the cig lighter.two weeks went by and a window tinting auto cut me off in traffic.If you go to my youtube you can see how awesome this cam is....PLUS the vid on youtube is my telephone recording off my laptop...I'm not intelligent sufficient and have not the software to edit videos.The programming is a little funky on the cam,like setting the time and date,but if you play with it for awhile you will figure it out.The micro speaker play back is scratchy till you play back on your laptop and as you can hear it is fairly sufficient.I put a two g mem. card in and carry a spare now in case I require to save something...it is worth it! This cam far and above does what I want.I currently have saved vids of two more close calls,just in case.Go to youtube and appear me up unitruth ,the vid is "cut off by window tinting vehicle 40 mph evansville IN." [...] see for oneself.The audio is crappy on the cam but when plugged in or memory card inserted in laptop you can hear the audio wonderful!

There's a cause it is so affordable. I thought I was receiving a bargain, but I guess not. I'll be contacting someone for a refund. It worked fine for a couple days. It took video in 15 minute segments. To make space I deleted the videos, then the screen says the SD card is full - impossible. Now the unit either does not turn on, or shuts itself off. When the unit is turned on it displays the "Welcome" screen indefinitely, then when the SD card is inserted it will shut off. If I am able to turn it on, it will go to record mode when I eject the SD card. The unit just went wacko.
