Buyer Reviews
This method operates fine in my station wagon. Parallel parking is now a breeze due to the particularly wide angle view. It is not the highest quality image but displays nicely in each day and night. The video screen is topic to glare (like cell phones, and so on) so don't strategy on mounting it in a sunny spot. I stuck it to the left of the steering column with Velcro.
As opposed to other models that have a mounting program more than the license plate holder, the camera mounting on this unit can be problematic. The maker helpfully supplies a HOLE SAW (!) to drill a great big hole in your sheet metal. I doubt the camera will last as lengthy as my vehicle so I rigged a mount inside the back window (don't forget-station wagon) and am satisfied.
It also lacks an on-off switch so I mounted a switch in my dash, thinking it could possibly extend the life of the display if I was in a position to turn it on when I need to have it. So- bottom line - if you are handy with auto electric for a DIY install then it will perform for you.
Horrible camera. Tried two of these. Initially one particular didn't function at all, returned to Amazon for replacement. Replacement worked wonderful for a day, then worked just about every other day, and after a couple weeks not at all. Not sure if it is a camera concern, or the monitor, but I will not be trying this brand ever again.
