I have been employing it due to the fact last two weeks now. This is just awesome item.
I have put to use "Griffin Powerjolt Dual Universal USB Micro" ahead of and AmazonBasic is significantly improved than Griffin for following cause
1) Design: Griffin is so little that it gets stuck in the automobile charger. Amazon basic is ideal size .. neither also little nor too major (it looks big in pics but really is smaller)
2) Charging time: This is why you order a auto charger ... Amazonbasic is two.1 amp vs griffin which is 1 amp... Amazonbasic charger charges telephone twice as quick griffin. I use iphone four and it gets totally charged (from ten% battery) whilst i m listening to music in an hr
three) Quality: Griffin use to get incredibly hot (and even my telephone use to get hot) immediately after 1 hr of charging ... amazon vehicle charger is of much superior excellent ... I have applied it all day and neither charger nor phones get hot
General I would extremely suggest this item if u have a iphone (or any intelligent telephone). Whether you are charging one particular device or two devices simultaneously it charges more rapidly than any other item in market place

I am attempting to get a 2.1 Amp (or atleast 1 Amp) auto charger for my HTC Vivid and HP Touchpad (CM7). These devices consume lot of battery when applying gps in auto. I had lot of hope on the amazon basics vehicle charger. However, both my devices get only 500 mA from these chargers (which is not adequate for GPS usage). The devices recognize the chargers as USB port and hence only 500 mA. I have performed amperage analysis on each Vivid and Touchpad using currentwidget for android. See consumer images.

Nicely, couple of folks have recommended me about "data pin shorting protocol" for telephone to differentiate among genuine usb port and charger's usb port. I would like to question the rationale behind ME undertaking it as an alternative of AMAZON (or whoever the manufacturer genuinely is). My wall chargers currently have these data pins shorted. They charge every device I throw at them such as iPhone. So why can not amazon manufacture them with data pins shorted initially.
Also I would not advocate end user meddling with power electronics. I worth my telephone and tablet extra than a $ten (now $20) vehicle charger. No thanks. Its simply not worth the hassle when its time to claim warranty.
