Customer Evaluations

I purchased this LCD monitor as element of upgrading the sound program for my Church. The monitor will be applied at the podium, so that our Pastor can see what slides are getting displayed.
At very first I was put off by the touch-screen functions, thinking that this was going to overcomplicate the installation. But, once I learned that we could manage the remote Computer from the touchscreen, and that any individual speaking could simply advance their personal slides, I took a greater liking to it.
The resolution is OK. For the cash, it is basically fine. Reviewing slides/photos, the screen looks outstanding. But in testing, as I look over to the correct on my typical LCD montitor, I see that it really is not as sharp. Then once again, I am comparing a 16-inch LCD to an eight-inch, and of course, the smaller sized monitor can not evaluate.
The stand is pretty functional, adjustable, and sturdy, and I don't anticipate any concerns mounting it to the podium, as it's pre-drilled for two screws.
I followed the directions for installing the touchscreen drivers and rebooted as directed. Being my very first time with a touchscreen, I was a bit anxious, but it worked out fine - nearly automatically.
Even with out the 4-point calibration the touchscreen worked fine. With the included stylus, I was able to navigate through my e-mail, open/close files and back up slides in PowerPoint, with no troubles. I performed the 4-point calibration, in some 5-seconds, but didn't definitely notice any improvement more than the as-shipped calibration that is, there did not seem to be any problem from the begin.
The panel has a little speaker, the "beeps" every time you activate the touch panel, but you can mute that below the settings fairly quickly.
At 1st I did not like the VGA and USB cables getting challenging-wired into the bottom of the panel, but the USB cable is adequately lengthy and the package comes with a VGA extension cable.
The AC adaptor works fine, and its cord is about 30-inches lengthy or so hence, I can need a little extension to make it to an outlet at the floor, but that is an inexpensive add-on.
Separately I purchased USB/RJ45 (no driver required) extension adaptors, and will have this touch screen run a remote Pc that's app. 130-feet away (by a Cat5e Ethernet cable).
In all, when shopping for this I located some that were in the $300+ range. This a single seemed really reasonable, and functional for my distinct application.

This monitor looks ok on VGA. NTSC video is not as sharp as the Haier monitor.
Would have been considerably much better if the plain ntsc video had a sharpness control.
We use this a security monitor next to a 19" VGA monitor.
