Customer Critiques

Got this for our minivan, given that we were worried about backing more than youngsters in the blind spot perfect behind the bumper. The monitor/mirror is large, larger than I thought it would be seeking at the picture, but it was ok in our vehicle. The camera installed on the license plate. The difficulty with the installation is running all the wires. I tapped into the brake lights to power on the monitor automatically when in reverse. I ran power from the cigarette lighter to the camera and monitor, and I can turn on the monitor and see the image from the camera at any time the automobile is on. You can also install one more video source, but not sure that's a fantastic idea to have a video playing on your rear-view mirror... The included instructions are almost worthless (really label wires the incorrect color), so the installer largely needs to use trial and error. Operates awesome now, just how I hoped, but would have reservations recommending to anybody who is not either seasoned in custom installation or gutsy adequate to attempt it.

I have this unit for about 2 weeks. Most morning the camera is fog up inside the camera lens. After fog gone image is OK. Low light is poor. If employed throughout the day the display has some glare difficulties. Note I am in cold climate location, but not below suggested temp.
