Client Evaluations

This unit works rather nicely for the income. I reside on a dirt road that can get a small washboard impact to it at occasions and the unit has under no circumstances skipped. The only genuine complaint I have is that there are so quite a few functions on this stereo that it has a bit of a mastering curve. But when you get the hang of it, there are a LOT of functions for such a cheaply priced stereo. The screen is about the size of an iPhone four or DroidX/Thunderbolt phone. I am also sending a signal through cable to a monitor in the back seat of my Suburban, which is superb for backseat passengers. This is a great deal for this cost.
Two significant notes about wiring this unit. First, if you merely ground the pink wire, you can override the restriction of watching the video player only when the auto is parked and parking brake engaged. With it grounded, all videos play all the time. Please recognize that by bypassing this restriction, you might possibly be breaking the law in your state, so beware.
Secondly and most importantly, I had a difficulty with the unit that I did a net search for and discovered that other individuals had as well, but no one particular had an answer for it. I even named Pyle tech support and they stated the unit was defective and I must return it. It was not. The trouble was that I would randomly get a message on a blue background that merely had the word "Auto" with a compact triangle next to it. One particular day, the radio was working fine and I was going by way of the car wash. My automatic headlights turned on since of the darkness and it began acting up and giving me the message once more. I figured out then that it was connected to me turning on the lights. I pulled the stereo out and checked all the wiring - all the colors matched up correctly, but that was the challenge. I had connected the orange wire from the radio to the orange "dimmer switch" wire on my truck with out checking the label. The orange wire on the unit was for a backup camera connection, not dimmer. So when the lights would come on, I was sending 12V to the camera connection instead of a camera. That was causing the problem. I disconnected the wires and it has worked flawlessly ever considering that. They really really should use a different color as folks that have installed a lot of radios over the years simply assume to just match up the colored wires and you happen to be ready to roll.
I do suggest this unit. For the cost, it cannot be beat!

Wanted a touch screen for my bug and this was a perfect fit.
Great clear screen for getting so tiny. Visually looks beneficial, does not look out of spot in my VW. Exact same functions as a larger touch screen, good quality device, more affordable price, simple to operate, pleased over all with my acquire.
